Bihar Elections 2025: 'Mother of all apps', the Isant to streamline these 40 services before the Bihar elections
Chief Election Commissioner of India Gyanash Kumar announced the implementation of the ECINET app on Monday, October 6, called it “mother of all apps”, which is going to streamline more than 40 web and mobile based services provided by the Election Commission.

Kumar said at a conference in New Delhi, “About 40 different apps have been created by the Election Commission.

“So, to combine them together at one place, because each voter or one stakeholders cannot download separate 40 apps, we have targeted for ecinet -mother of all apps. Almost all apps and services are now added to the app. And its progressive implementation will start from Bihar elections as ‘One -Stop Digital Platforms’.

Several separate services such as voter voting, voter helpline, election plan, voter services as well as voting results will be added to the app.

Many important services such as real-time voter turnout updates will be available on the app. The presiding officer will now upload the polling data on the ECINET app every two hours on polling day to reduce the time interval in updating the estimated polling trends according to the Election Commission.

Digital index cards and reports will also be made available on the app on the app and the app on the Election Commission website.

ECINET will also help in resolving complaints of voters. All contact details including booth level officers (BLOS) will be available on the app.

The “user-friendly” app is believed to now add various services and apps such as voter helpline apps, voter turnout apps, Cvigil, SUVIDHA 2.0, ESMS, Saksham and KYC app (Know your candidate) which are more than 5.5 million downloads, will now be available on a single platform.

The Commission had said in a statement issued on May 4, 2025 that the data provided through ECINET would be strictly aligned within the legal framework established by the representation of Peoples, 1950, 1951, registration of election rules, conduct of 1960 election rules, conduct of election rules, 1961 and time -time instructions issued by ECI.
