Bihar elections: Voting in two phases on November 6 and 11, results on 14 November
Bihar assembly elections will be held in two phases on 6 and 11 November, announced the Election Commission on Monday (6 October). The result will be announced on 14 November.

243-The term of the member of the state assembly ends on 22 November.

The EC said that 121 seats will go to the election in Phase 1 and 122 constituencies will be voted in Phase 2.

More than 7.4 crore people will exercise their franchise, including 14 lakh voters for the first time, the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) announced Ganesh Kumar. Kumar said, “There are a total of 7.42 crore voters in Bihar, out of which 3.92 crore are men and 3.5 crore are women. 14 lakhs are voters and 4 lakh senior citizen voters,” Kumar said.

At least 14,000 voters in the state are over 100 years of age.

The CEC claimed that the Bihar elections would be held in a transparent and peaceful manner.

A total of 90,712 polling stations are being set up in Bihar.

The 2020 assembly elections in the state were held in three phases below the shadow of the Kovid -19 epidemic. BJP -led NDA won 123 seats and Mahagatdanan won 114 seats in a close competition.

This time also, the state will see a bitter battle between two major alliances.

More than 500 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFS), including more than 5,000 personnel, will be deployed for Bihar elections. Of these, 121 companies are from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Force (BSF) from around 400, as well as other CAPFS, ANI’s quotes.
