CM Stalin says TN Assembly will adopt resolution condemning Israeli attacks on Gaza
Demanding that the Center put pressure on Israel to stop the “genocide” in Gaza, Stalin said the resolution would be passed after convening the assembly on October 14.
Addressing a protest against Israel organized by the CPI(M), he said: “This resolution, which will also emphasize the urgent need for a ceasefire there, will reflect the sentiments of the people of Tamil Nadu; I am confident that irrespective of political differences, all parties will support this resolution.” Addressing an all-party protest meeting organized here by the Marxist Party to condemn the “genocide” in Gaza, the CM said that Israel’s indiscriminate attacks on Gaza are shocking the hearts of all.

He said the CPI(M) protest is an effort to unite people with humanitarian values, to urge the powers that be to end attacks that blatantly violate international human rights laws and UN principles.
On 8 September, in a social media post, Stalin said he was “shaken beyond words by what is happening in Gaza…when innocent lives are being crushed like this, silence is not an option”.
CPI(M) had urged the central government to cancel all trade agreements with Israel.
The Marxist party had also called for a ban on Israeli companies from participating in an ongoing conference on aerospace and defense here.
