Karur stampede: Reaches the families of TVK's victory victims; Demand for CBI inquiry in Supreme Court
The actor started reaching the families of the stampede victims at his party TVK rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu.

One of the affected families said that TVK founder and chief associated with them through video calls on Monday evening on 6 October, the news agency PTI said.

The head of the Tamilga Vitri Kazgam Party was facing criticism for not visiting the stampede -affected families in the person.

Vijay allegedly told another family that he was like his son. “I am like your son,” Vijay told him a woman consolation.

Vijay has asked TVK members to reach the affected families, but it is not clear whether he would pay Karur’s visit to meet the victims, PTI cited party sources.

Supreme Court to hear CBI investigation petition

The Supreme Court on Tuesday, October 7, agreed to hear a petition to demand an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation Bureau of Investigation in the case.

A bench of CJI Br Gavai and Justice of Justice agreed to hear the plea of ​​BJP leader Uma Anandan, which challenged the order of the Madras High Court, which refused to investigate the CBI.

A bench of the Madras High Court directed the BJP leader to reach the Madurai bench of the court on 3 October. Another bench formed a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the incident.

Vijay’s political rally at Karur became fatal on September 27, when people came out in large numbers at the place, which was only 10,000–15,000 people.

Vijay was delayed by about seven hours to reach the place, which led to the increase in the meeting. Those who were present at the site used to complain about lack of water and sanitation facilities at that place, due to which there was chaos on the site.

The stampede claimed the lives of 41 people during more than 60 injuries.
