MG Cyberster becomes India’s best selling sports car; MG M9 JSW helps boost MG’s EV ranks
According to VAHAN data for September 2025, strong demand for Cyberstar along with MG M9 Presidential Limousine has helped JSW MG Motor India reach the second position in the luxury electric vehicle segment in the country.
According to the company, there is currently a waiting period of three to four months on both the models.
Inspired by the classic MGB Roadster, the MG Cyberster combines traditional design with modern performance. It features electric scissor doors, a soft top roof and a sculpted aerodynamic body.
Powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, it produces 510 PS and 725 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. The sports car is equipped with Brembo 4-piston front brakes that can stop the vehicle from 100 km/h in 33 meters and runs on 20-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli P-Zero tyres.
JSW MG Motor India has opened 14 MG Select Experience Centers across major Indian cities to expand its EV presence. These centers provide personalized services to customers and showcase the MG Cyberster and MG M9.
