In a shocking security violation, a 71 -year -old lawyer on Monday attempted to find a shoe in his court room towards CJI Gawai in his court room, inspiring India’s bar council to suspend his license with immediate effect.
Police sources said that a note, which was the slogan of “Sanatan Dharma’s Uppaman Nahi Hangga Hindustan” (India would not tolerate insult to Sanatan Dharma), was recovered from his possession.
CJI, who was surprised during and later during the unprecedented incident during court proceedings, asked the court officials and security personnel inside the court to ignore it and left the wrong lawyer identified as Rakesh Kishore with a warning.
