SC asks EC to provide details of voters excluded from 3.66 lakhs under Bihar sir on 9 October
The Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the Election Commission to submit details of the excluded voters under the Special Intensive Amendment (SIR) of Bihar Election Roll by 9 October.

The EC excluded 3.66 lakh voters from the final election role prepared under Bihar Sir practice.

The pole body told the court that no complaint or appeal has been filed so far by any excluded voters. Most of the names added to the final election role in the head are of new voters and some old voters.

Bihar will vote in two phases on November 6 and 11. The results for the 243 -member assembly will be declared on 14 November.

Sir of the voter list in Bihar – the first – the first – a large political line since 2003, in which opposition parties alleged that the purpose of the practice is to deprive people of the right to vote. The EC has said that SIR is being organized to clean the voter list, who are dead, who duplicate the voter card or are illegal immigrants.

The findings of SIR reduced the total number of voters registered in Bihar, which increased to 7.9 crores to 7.24 crores before exercise.
